Walk Me Home

Song of the Day: Mandy Moore - Walk Me Home

Manchester United -3
AC Milan - 2

Another captivating European night for the Red Devils. And I was awake to catch it! I must say, this season has all the signs that we could certainly repeat our famous treble of 1999 since MU still has all to play for in all fronts: League, Champions League and FA Cup. No matter what happens at the end of May, this 2006/2007 season will be one of my favourite MU seasons ever.

Speaking of football, here's a tribute to our very own wunderkind who has managed a triple feat in scoring 3 best-player-of-the-season awards: None-other-than Ronnie!

Actually, he is pretty good-looking. Maybe just a tad too arrogant for his own good. But, what-the-heck! He's a MU player which is all that matters.

So, enough about football yeah?

Nothing much has been happening lately. Week in week out and before you know it, it's May soon. Lots of UQ preparation still left to be done: Visa, Shopping, Accommodation etc. This week, I just booked my flight to Brisbane which is tentative on 9th July. Plus, there's assignments to hand it and mid-term tests to sit for. On weekends, there's YV visiting to look forward to (I learned sign language!). On a brighter side, there will be two public holidays next week so there's time to hang loose a little.

Phew.

Hung Up

Song of the Day: Madonna - Hung Up

My current obsessions:

Wentworth Miller @ Michael Scofield
[drool, drool, drool]
My kind of man. Both personality and looks.
[drool, drool, drool]

Glory, glory indeed!
Treble, here we come!

Ice-creams .... Yummylicious.
My PMS obsession.
Obsessions can be a dangerous thing. It takes up your time, attention and everything else in your life until you're satisfied.
I should know. I've watched the entire Season Two of Prison Break in 2 freaking days! I've been binging on ice creams which is alarming since I want to have a proper diet. And I've stayed up at 3am to watch MU trashed Roma 7-1 on a Tuesday (which was SO worth it).
Been neglecting the important things in life lately. Time to get my act together.

Patience

Song of the Day: Take That - Patience

It's been a while. I admit it. I've neglected you lately. Been choosing assignments (wasn't much of a choice), Ipoh and Grey's Anatomy rather than you. And now, I feel obligated to post up something here. Not much of inspiration or news to write here (except maybe my mom's going to SPAIN! and ..... my brother's practically going to stay in Acheh and ..... yours truly has been up to her nose searching high and low for Brisbane accommodation and ..... you get it. Boring stuffs) so I think I will post some lyrics here that maybe (just maybe) would encapsulate just what I've been feeling lately.

So, here goes nothing:

Do I attract you?
Do I repulse you with my queasy smile? (Queasy smile? Me? Nah!)
Am I too dirty? (Erm... Me? Dirty?)
Am I too flirty? (Definitely not ME)
Do I like what you like?
I could be wholesome (Hmm... wholesome huh?)
I could be loathsome (Yikes... Hopefully not)
I guess I'm a little bit shy (Aha! Strike One!)
Why dont you like me?
Why dont you like me without making me try?
- "Grace Kelly" by Mika

Woke up cold one Tuesday (Well, my room does have air-con)
I'm looking tired and feeling quite sick (Tired definitely.... from too much sleep)
I felt like there was something missing in my day to day life (So, what else is new?)
So I quickly opened the wardrobe (I wouldn't call mine a wardrobe though)
Pulled out some jeans and a T-Shirt that seemed clean (Erm .... they do seemed CLEAN!)
Topped it off with a pair of old shoes (Old is right! I need some new pairs!)
That were ripped around the seams (Totally!)
And I thought these shoes just don't suit me

Hey, I put some new shoes on (Oh, that's right! I bought a new pair!)
And suddenly everything is right (I did have a spring in my step)
I said, hey
I put some new shoes on and everybody's smiling (If only....)
It's so inviting
Oh, short on money (Aha! Strike Two!)
But long on time
Slowly strolling in the sweet sunshine (Thunder and lightning, you mean)
And I'm running late (Sigh. The story of my life)
And I dont need an excuse (Not unless I'm skipping classes)
'Cause I'm wearing my brand new shoes (Yay! I've got new shoes!)
- "New Shoes" by Paolo Nutini

The wheels are turning. I've finally paid my deposit to the University of Queensland.

I'm seriously going to Brisbane!

I'm seriously going to Brisbane!

I'm seriously going to Brisbane!

Damn. It's not hitting me yet.

"My heart is numb. It has no feeling."
- Song of the Day -

I wish it was different. But you are what you are.

[shrug]

I'm seriously going to Brisbane!

I'm seriously going to Brisbane!

I'm seriously retarded.

Stolen

Song of the Day: Dashboard Confessionals - Stolen

LAW sucks!!

At least, business law does. I need to take a break from trustees, partnerships and all those law jargons.

Hence, here I am. Blogging again.

Another week breezes by, in a blink of an eye.

Thursday was the last episode day. Interestingly enough, almost everyone appeared making it one of the most attended episodes. Sadly enough, it was the final one. Weirdly enough, no one cried (not that I know of). Usual enough, the episode ended with some square dances. This time around, I was roaring to dance since it was going to be the last time and all. However, not everyone shared my enthusiasm. Probably everyone was gearing for the coming elections.....
.... which was on Saturday. I made a remark from my previous post that I would not be able to make it since my parents were coming down. Miraclously, they altered their plans and I was able to attend the elections which I would not have missed for the world. Though it was 10-hours long, the time passed by unnoticeably. I must applaud my friends who have ran for the gruelling process because it takes courage and belief to be able to present a speech of conviction and be subjected to various queries from their peers like that. It was obviously nerve-racking for them and I must congratulate each and everyone for a job well done! At the end of the day, that itself was a cause for celebration......

..... which we did in Marmalade, Bangsar Village. Later on, we reverted our post-election celebration back to Hillpark. Actually, the real purpose of our rendezvous was to catch the movie, Crash. But, the sleep-over was also a front for the candidates to prepare for their interview the next day together-gether. For the rest of us who wasn't involved, we were watching Nemo, Crash (again!) and Hitch. It was a movie-marathon for me, really. The next morning when we woke up, we watched Love Actually.

Anyway, here are some pictures to capture the essence of last weekend:

Pictures speak a thousand words. Enough said.
