Feeling Good

Song of the Day: Michael Buble - Feeling Good

Woohoo! Yippee! Hurray! Yeahyeahyeah!

Sorry. Forgive my enthusiasm. I just finished my mid sems and I'm going to Gold Coast next week. Naturally, I'm damn excited. Again, a thousand apologies.

Hehe. Wahaha. Hohoho.

No no. It's not Santa Claus. That's right. I'm going crazy. Sorry, the excitement is bubbling within me and I just had to blog about it. It's not everyday you get this kind of feeling, you know? Gotta cherish it while it lasts.

Hehehe. Oh dear, I can't stop giggling. And there's a huge smile plastered on my face now. I bet the guy sitting next to me in the computer lab is probably like "Is she nuts?".

Ok, Von. Calm down. Calm down. Chill, chill.

[takes a deep breath]

Ok. I'm cool now. Back to my usual self.

So, as I was saying, I finished my mid-sem exams! I have no idea why I'm so happy because in about 1 month, I have to endure the same old studying process again for the finals. Oh yeah, I'm happy coz it's the hols next week! Truthfully, it ain't the hols yet and I'll be skipping a few classes to go Gold Coast. Aiks.

Cheh. It's not like I haven't skipped classes before. In fact, I was notorious for doing so last semester in HELP (which explains my dwindling grades). So what if I skipped a few classes? It's not the end of the world.

Actually, not much new news at all. I should be getting my internet at home today but with the mishaps in the past, I won't be betting on it. I miss the Net. I miss surfing YouTube, Friendster and all. I feel like the "katak di bawah tempurung" on the news of the world. Not just those political news but those gossip celebrity news which I thrive on. I miss my football too. Hmm, it's weird saying football now. Somehow, when I say football, it's not David-Beckham-football that automatically comes to my mind now. I think of footy and rugby too. Oh dear, I'm becoming very Australian indeed.

Hmm... nothing much really. I'm just really excited and happy and nearly-sane and hungry like hell! I haven't eaten since breakfast and it's 5pm now. No no, it's not my dieting plan. I just haven't found the time to eat as yet.

Well, over and out then.

The Thrill Is Gone

Song of the Day: BB King - The Thrill Is Gone

Aiks. A lapse period of time since I last blogged, had some people worrying (as evident from the chat box). Fear not. I am still in Brisbane, not running around amok around Australia. I am still the same old me, unfortunately since I have been trying (unsuccessfully) to diet. The reason I was AWOL can be summarized in three words: Mid-Sem Exams.

Yeah, it's that time again. Exams. Cramming sessions. High stress levels. More snacking (It's a curse I tell you. I eat more during exam times). Less TV time (Darn it. The footy finals are on!). And this time around, out of 4 subjects, I have 4 mid sems. Sigh.

In fact, I just finished the 1st exam a few hours ago. My next one is the day after tomorrow and the next, Mon and the next, Wed. In short, DAMNATION! And yet, I'm here, blogging. A sign of dedication indeed.

Aside from the boring news of exams, I have some other GREAT news. First of,

"I'm bringing sexy back..... [singing] ....."

Woo hoo!!! Triple Yay!!! I'm gonna see Justin live in concert!!! So damn excited and I can't wait! The concert's gonna be in October though and the ticket price is costing me a bomb. There goes my shopping expenses for the rest of the year. Sob. I have been wanting to buy a bag lately.

But, hey. It's Justin! It's gonna be so worth it. I promised myself that it would be my early birthday present. Haha. Anything to appease my guilt. Gosh. I hope none of my family members are reading this. Those in Malaysia, please do NOT tell my parents, or my brother, or his girlfriend or anyone related to the Hui's. Or else, I'm dead.

Actually, that's the best news I have so far. Haha. I guess, it's worth mentioning also that I had my 2nd pub visit last week at Fridays. Fridays was a better place to chill compared to Union Jack's as it was situated just right beside the river with a spectacular view. Oh yeah, I remembered something now. Last Saturday, there had a River Festival show at South Bank which I went of course. There was a 30 minute display of fireworks and believe me, they were incredible! South Bank was filled to the brim and I think every Brisbane-r was there spectating the great show. I have never in my life seen so many people (not to mention, cute ang-mo's. Sorry Jill!) before. Pictures will probably come in my next entry.

So, what else has been happening? Not counting studying, there hasn't been much. But come next week, that's when the excitement and fun will begin. Woohoo! My friends from all over Australia will be making their way here and we'll be heading to Gold Coast for 5 days of pure fun! We're going to Dream World, Movie World, White Water World (or was it Wet and Wild?) and of course, Surfer's Paradise. We'll be visiting Harbour Town too where there are lots of cheap bargains to be found. Maybe I can buy my bag then? Oh darn. I promised myself no more shopping to fund for my concert tickets. Crap. Justin or bag? No brainer there. Haha.

Hmm... I guess that's it. Am supposed to be doing my online quiz but I got sidetracked as usual. I should be heading home now to study anyway. Or rather, to catch "Deal or No Deal" on Seven. Seriously, I'm addicted to that show.

Yeah! I'm finally getting my home internet on the 13th (after 2 months of being here. Sigh). Dumb Optus. They botched up my installation process. After that, you'll probably see more of me then.

Which .... is a blessing or a curse? I don't know. You decide. [wink]

P.S: Wow. I just found out that I can upload videos on this. Yay! I can upload the fireworks video then.
