Here is a list of the songs that I recently downloaded:

1. Tyler Hilton – When it comes
   Found out this guy existed from TRL. Tyler is actually staring on One Tree Hill in Season 2. Well, guess I’ll see him later then. Only tuned into Episode 5 currently. He’s not really cute but his songs are pretty good. Another song to watch out for is his duet with fellow co-worker Bethany Joy Lenz, or better known as Haley for their song, ‘When the Stars go Blue’
   
2. Red Hot Chilli Peppers – Higher Ground
   Not much of a RHCP fan but this song just blows me away! Got introduced to it while watching Centre Stage. You know, during the dance class where everyone just dances the same moves? Centre Stage is totally one of my favourite movies of all time.
   
3. Jim Croce – Time in a bottle
   David Cassidy – I think I love you
   Heard both from American Idol 4. The former, a haunting tune from the old days, sang by Bo Bice. The latter, a complete contrast from the former. A really cute and jumpy song sang by Constantine Maroulis. It’s actually the theme song from a popular TV series, The Partridge family. Funny but the song kinda reminds of The Addams Family too.
   
4. Lifehouse – You and me
   At last they came up with another hit. They were dangerously sliding into the ‘One Hit Wonder’ category had they not come up with this amazing tune. Their first hit ‘Hanging by a Moment’ is pretty cool too.
   
5. Snoop Dog ft. Pharell – Let’s get blown
   Hmm…don’t fancy Snoop Dog that much. Aside from his menacing looks (of which Jessica Alba associated with Count Dracula once on TRL), his music is pretty much the same. Hip Hop, of which I don’t dig. But this song has some jazz element in it. As for me being a fan of it, this song can be considered cool.
   
6. Al Green – Just the two of us
   The original version. Will Smith’s version many years ago can be considered pretty cool since he rapped it up a little but I prefer the original, of course.
   
7. McFly – All about you
   Hmm…not your usual name huh? I only came across this song and band from MTV when I was surfing through the TV. Since they are from UK themselves, they kinda remind me a little of The Beatles.

At long last! It’s been a while since I last wrote in an entry for the blog. Blame it on my utter laziness based on my ‘homecoming’ to Ipoh. Aah! The simple pleasures of being at home. The joy of waking up at your leisure (only if your parents are away from home, that is), the comfort of sleeping on your own bed filled with soft and plush pillows, the delight of eating your Mom’s cooking and most of all, the contentment in catching all your favourite TV shows without having to worry about studying and all. Aah again!

I came home with more than a few objectives in mind. A few would be ‘visiting’ the gym at least twice a week, read up on Economics and learn how to cook and all. Sad to say, none of those goals have been realized. My fault really. Why? When I’m home, my energy just drains away and all that I could do is just cuddle up and be a couch potato!

I suppose I could say that I’m not being as useless as you think I am during my ‘vacation’ period. Just last night, I did an extraordinary thing. Really must applaud myself once I thought about it again today. I spent a night in the hospital! Before you go jumping to conclusions, it’s not me that needed hospital care. The victim here was my mom. Nothing serious, just a minor growth on her back and needed op to remove. So for the first time in my whole life, I slept in the hospital. Sigh. What a terrible ordeal! First of all, I had nothing to do besides reading my novels and Archie comics. I even bought myself a couple of snacks to munch myself from boredom (which caused my tummy some queasiness). I made myself ‘comfortable’ in the hospital’s poor excuse of a bed (a sliding chair which has seen better days) with the pillow that I thankfully remembered to bring and the hospital’s blanket. I tried to sleep. I really was tired and all, since I woke up at 730 (the earliest time I woke up since I came home) and had to stay in the hospital waiting for my mom and all. To make matters worse, the room was so chilly! Geared with my jacket and a thin blanket, I still wasn’t warmed to the best. I managed to drift off to dreamland for a while before I awoken at 1 something. I groggily looked around my surroundings and realized that I was still at the crummy hospital and not in the comforts of my own bed (as in my dreams). I tried to sleep again. Tried different positions on the chair till I’m satisfied (or to avoid getting numbness) and tried to catch a wink. And woke up again! The time on my phone says 4.03am. Damnation! Sleep. Wake up. Sleep. Wake up. I lost count on how many times that I startled myself awake. Finally, when I began to drift to a deep slumber, the nurse woke me up! For goodness sake!

When we left the hospital, only two words resided in my mind. Good riddance!

At much as I hated the experience, I was proud of myself. To do such things like that, I proved to myself and my parents that I was indeed an adult! An adult can go through such ‘difficulties’ in life with barely a wink. Though I don’t call my sleeping over at the hospital ‘barely a wink’ (though literally it meant that, haha), it was an enlightening incident, really.

Just don’t ask me to go through it again, please…
